Man, I got hooked into working at the firehouse all week-end. Ive looked over topo maps all day online. Checked all my favorite web pages just trying to get a fix. Its killing me! Someone post a pic of a fresh 2010 archery kill!

We have had plenty of squirrels and one turkey so far. Getting close to that magical hour. Unbeleivable how many acorns there are.

Back in empty handed. Had a coon feed to within 5 yards of my sons feet before he seen us. Really cool watching that close at ground level. No deer but it was some good time spent together in the woods!

Might have to skip the morning hunt, but weather permitting we will be back out tomorrow night.

This evening I had a yearling feeding under my stand
And I mean under , as I was dropping acorns on it

Other than Ma ma doe that fed past me just past my comfort range , no deer

But I had 2 people walk about 100 yds away on the public property next to where I was hunting
Ohhh ing and Awww ing about the yearling
I was almost thinking about sticking it to shut them up

But they walked away and the yearling stayed

God I love hunting deer next to a Metro park

If you need help hunting next to that park, just let me know. I'm always willing to help out a fellow hunter!

LOL
I wish I was able to have freinds along to hunt this place

But I just got permission to bow hunt only a few weeks ago
Can't even bring my Nephue yeat

The owner is super nice guy
But not big into hunting , but I bought 10 ton of hay from him to feed the steers

So I guess you would say I paid for the rights to hunt the property
