Still want to know who has to shuck all that corn lmao.

Just wish we had bigger farm markets up here. The ones we have are little mom and pop types that just pull stuff out of their gardens.

Nah. they own a farm market and grow sweetcorn. Anything they over pick and don't sell that day they throw in a pile. They still have 6 acres planted they aren't going to get to...

Back in those days, we had 2 good ole boys that used to roll up every evening and empty the shucking barrels and feed them to their whatevers. We only picked what we needed though, give or take a couple dozen.

Its true though, most sweet corn places will only pick a patch twice, max...at this time of the year it's only a 1 pick because of the worms.

Just dump it just behind the area where the light is turned on on Friday afternoon's. Now that would be a great practical joke.

Setup a trail cam on the pile and hide in the nearby brush. Wait to catch the coon running around like a struttin rooster kickin and spittin mad lmao. Oh that would be a sight to see right there lmao.

These guys pick anywhere from 200-1200 dozen every morning for about 80 days. They pick enough for their market, but they also supply grocery stores etc.. How many they pick that day depends on that days order..... What they don't sell at the market, they throw it out and pick fresh the next morning.
