Grease fire

Just had a grease fire while I was cooking. I was able to put it out with no damage to anything but some Tupperware. I have some minor burns on my hands and chest but other than that and the smell of burnt plastic I am ok. I feel like a complete moron but it could have been a lot worse. Be careful when cooking with grease folks.

Glad it wasn’t worse!

I’m gonna need more of this story when you get a chance. I feel like there’s a solid chance of some good laughter. I’m currently picturing you swatting at it like a cat while screaming like the kid on Home Alone.

Haha if I did I don't remember it. The only things I remember are saying oh shit and grabbing it off the stove and throwing the pot into the sink. I remember thinking you have to let this burn you until you get it to the sink.

Scary shit man. Damn.

Putting a lid on it is best, baking soda or flour will work too. Just don't throw the flour, pour it. And never ever ever put water on ot

Yes I should have put the lid on it. Thankfully I knew enough to not put water on it.

That was definitely the most scared I've been as an adult. The flames we're four to five feet high. I thought my house was going to burn down.

I'll see how they are tomorrow. The big one is the worst one. Mostly just small little spots
I bet you a dollar you find out the one on the inside of your index finger is the worst one. Its gonna remind you of that every time you grab something or bend that finger.
