What size? I've got a buddy with an old pop up camper he's gonna junk. Fridge works, but it's pretty small.

If you are planning on doing your solar system next year, I'd just use coolers and save the money for now.

I am using coolers now. My solar setup is going to be small and basically just big enough for a couple of lights and a 12v water pump. I would like to get something like 8 or 10 cf which is bigger than what is in most campers. The frig really isn't a necessity, but just something that I would like to eventually have. Coolers are nice for drinks but are a pain for keeping meat, eggs, etc since you get a buildup of water which water logs everytihng. May need to get some ice packs instead of using loose ice.

We use pop bottles large and small and filled to freeze. One gallon milk jugs are frozen so I have several to cool deer when hunting.
I use a small cooler everyday here on the farm or when working in my shop. I take empty pop bottles and fill 1/3 way with ice tea and freeze. Then the next day fill up with my ice tea and have a iced drink all day.
Wash it at night and refill. Never buy ice and no water to mess things up.

I've put in a few solar systems while in AK...trust me, buy the biggest you can afford and buy a system you can add on to. It's worse then building a shop, never big enough. Save the money from propane and go with a renewable source. You have plenty of available roof and a big family. Go for broke!

Short of any other words and being the honest asshole I am, you'd be a damn fool to put in a tiny system. Make it comfortable for the kids so they effin LOVE going! You know they're gonna want to charge their smart phones and such. A small fan on that wood burner would be nice as well. Add a boot drier and a small radio...the list is endless bub. Don't be a fool. You got a hell of a cabin going. Personally I'd put off finishing the inside for a power system this year. But that's just me, it's your money, this is just my honest opinion.

The cabin is already made be broke, and I don't want it to be that comfortable. LOL. We have very little cell service at our cabin and no data. Therefore their ipods are useless for the most part. I just want to run a couple of overhead lights in the cabin and 1 in the bathroom. I have a 12volt pump for the shower and the sink. If I wanted that all the other stuff, I would simply tie to the grid. For the most part our cabin is just weekend use and when we are there we are outside doing something. For us we really don't want all of the comforts of home.
