I did get my hands on a carbon defiant a few months ago. I wasn't overly impressed, but it was a shop bow, set up with a wisker biscuit and no stabilizer... so I took it with a grain of salt. BUT, I did love the feel of the carbon riser. I do know that if or when I ever get another bow, it'll more than likely be made out of carbon.

No carbon bows for me. Find a used spyder turbo.

I shot a Carbon defiant Turbo,, I went with cash in hand but didn't like the draw cycle. My current bows are 2009 Elite GT500 and a 2010 Elite Judge. IMO, 2 of the best bows Elite ever built so it's going to take something that will knock my socks off when i test drive it :smiley_cheers:

I do t think you will find a bow that knocks your socks off anymore than what you have. Technology is peaking and I don't see much pushing it over the hump. All the have been doing is shorteneing the brace height to gain speed. No thanks for a hunting bow....I prefer a smooth drawing bow

Thanks,,, You probably saved me $1,000 :smiley_clap:
My GT is as quiet as any other i've shot next to. Maybe it's because I have a gazillion hours of tuning in it lmao
The GT is a 7" brace and the Judge is a 6". I shot indoor spot with the Judge and did exceptionally well.

Mathews Halon 32, easily the best bow in the universe. [emoji1591]

I don't know about the newer elites, but the 2009-2011 elites definitely had that "crack" at the shot. They're quiet... But it's a different kind of quiet. I know what Milo is saying. I really thought my Z28 was dead quiet. That is, until I shot it next to my Strother. I really liked the draw cycle of my Z28 though. It was a great hunting bow.

You haven't shot enough bows if you can't tell a difference rotflmao. Honestly they are rrunning out of tweeks. They do essentially one of two things, shorten the brace height or super smooth draw. There is very little speed gain. My Hoyt carbon matrix is a quiet as i have heard and I have shot a lot. Been a while since I shot a switchback but I think they were very quiet. I liked my elite but once it got cold it was impossible to hold in your hand

The Z was a good smooth shooter, but it was a single cam 8" brace .. I shot 3D one season with one and it was definitely a shooter (I've owned pretty much every Elite 2007-2010 Envy, Synergy, Z28, GT, Judge)

I bought a 2013 elite camo hunter last year and I love it! Very smooth and quiet..milo am I correct that it's the only bow that has a lifetime warranty that's transferable from person to person?

Went in the spring and shot a ton of new bows. Ended up leaving with a leftover E32. Couldn't find anything newer that was far enough ahead of it to justify the extra 400 bucks. I also ended up picking up a 10? Elite GT500. Just got it set up and shot it for the first time last weekend. It definitely has a rattle but I noticed the string side shims on top and bottom cams are loose and that's where it's coming from. Gotta find some replacement shims and figure that out.

I'm still shooting my 2007 Bowtech Tribute. It's a hell of a bow. I just don't see any need to change. I need to slap a new string on it, and that's about it.

I decided on a 2017 Elite E35 V grip, Harvest Brown/Realtree. Dropped down to a 60# bow and have it maxed out at 63#. Set up with a Trophy Ridge Level rest, Dead Center Carbon stab, HHA Optimizer lite kingpin and Maxima Blu-Rz 250's tipped with G5 T-3's and Magnus Black Hornet 4 blades.

I try not to be a one brand pony, but I have only shot PSE since I started bow hunting. Currently using the 2012 Omen Pro, tough bow to learn to shoot but man it tunes well and has serious speed. I am eye balling the PSE Carbon Air for my next set up.

I started looking at the Carbon Air but some of the reviews turned me off. We'll see what 2018 brings out

Would have been a custom order but it was an Archerytalk deal.. I rarely ever buy new anymore.. Get one off AT for a good discount. Had 28" mods on it and I had to purchase a set of 30's (also AT) and swap them out. Deal was for bare bow only,, had the sight, ordered the stab, rest and wrist sling

Nice elite.

Thanks guys,,, It's definitely a shooter and i'm very happy with it.. more than anything, i'm very confident with it. I'm able to put 100grn slick tricks in a 2" group at 50 yards.. and for me.... that's awesome since, at my age, I can hardly see 50 yards lmao

I've got the new Prime Centergy. I like it so far. When I bought it I was between the Centergy and the PSE Evolve. Part of me still wonders about the PSE as that was my previous manufacturer.
