So a real close friend of the family finally parted with a 67' convertible vette...to my dad. He got an extremely fair deal and intends to flip the car because he doesn't have the money or space to do it justice.

Car was parked in 1980 after the driveshaft broke during a burnout. Hasn't been touched until dad bought it last week. He still hasn't done much but look at it and access how bad the frame was (common for this year behind the rear tires). Hasn't been moved or anything yet.

Which brings me to my question...clean it up or sell it as-is with the dust and dirt on it?

I haven't seen the car since I was a kid. I remember seeing it and thinking how cool it was with the side pipes, lol.

Send me a text or call before he does anything. I have a couple guys in mind who would be interested. Not tire kickers. True car players. They will bring cash but they have never needed a TV show to do what they do.

Doesn't have matching numbers. He has been in contact with a guy that deals with cars like this one. He has been advised that this car should sell for $30,000+.

I'd Check that frame as well as rodent damage, 30k for a sight unseen garage find seems excessive....

But there's always that one guy that's out there...

Agreed... 30k for a numbers matching driveable but not one that has an engine swap needs a full restoration
