Just depends on where you are in the state. Here in NW Ohio they are seemingly as thick as blackbirds in some areas. I was told the eagle population density in the Lake Erie Marsh region is the highest in the entire lower 48 states. But they're also showing up in many other parts of the state fairly regularly. Pretty sure they were taken off the state threatened list a few years ago. Still protected by the feds though.I havent seen any mention of bald eagles on the forum.. Hows Ohio's bald eagle population.. Seeing more and more of them here in Jersey.. Out in Illinois we see them constantly.. Such a majestic bird...
Being here on the river in the SE, we see them on occasion. Usually juveniles for some reason, but we have seen a few white heads while waterfowl hunting.
