Having wanted a brighter light system for trail riding and plowing I have been looking into LED light bars for my Brute 4 wheeler. It draws only about 10 amps so I will be easier on my battery and will certonally light up the trails.

Tractor supply retails em for about $150.00 but they can be found cheaper. I'm told Cree makes some of the best internal components. The Traveller housing is made of heavy die-cast aluminum and seems to be sealed well with an IP rating of 68. ( which means it waterproof up to 3 feet below the surface... comforting.)

The unit has both flood and spot LED's for max . Flood Lumens are 2,880 / spot Lumens are 4,320 = Total lumens of 7,200 with a max beam distance of 1,128 Ft. made up of 40 LED bulbs. Housing unit is finned to disperse heat.

The unit package came well packaged and included the mounting brackets. Wiring kit (if needed) is sold separately. As is, it came assembled with 6" of wire, a water tight plug and 2" of wire after that. You would need the "wire kit" to get power from the battery along with a on/off switch if you don't have any laying around. Kind of heavy at 8.4 LBS.

It has a dimpled surface at the mounting bracket hinge for adjusting light beam once mounted.
I pulled the Brute out last night to see how well it lit up, first turning on the factory head lights then the LED light bar. It washed out the factory lights as expected.

Looking forward to trying it on the trails but for now, I'm pretty happy.

Looks good man! I've got a couple of Rigid Ind. lights and love them. I have them mounted on my truck though. Not sure I'd even suggest them for a quad, they are extremely bright. Possibly too bright for such close quarters like trail riding.

Curious if these are the same ones we saw on the UTV's at Mingo a couple years ago? Those dudes LIT the night up!
