Got a few resolutions this year.
Aside from loosing 30 pounds, I'm going back to Traditional archery. I started using a compound because I was so distracted with other things that I didn't feel like putting the effort into shooting my traditional bows. My deer hunting success with a compound bow has actually been worse than when I only used a recurve. I'm not sure why, maybe its just been a bad couple of years, but ever since I started hunting with a compound the last two whitetail seasons have literally been cursed (maybe God is punishing me)... LOL
The past few years have been chaotic, but life is finally started to settle and I'll be able to start focusing on shooting again. Besides, it'll be nice to blame my poor hunting success on my equipment rather than my lack of skill as a hunter..... LOL
Disclaimer: Next year I'm rifle hunting elk. At this time all future archery western (elk, mule deer, antelope, and etc) hunts will done with a compound bow.
