I've been out about 5 times this year with good results averaging 3-6 rabbits per outing. We hit a east side private location yesterday I thought the snow would be low enough. It was manageable but I think the rain last night washed away any scent. We always get 3-5 rabbits at this place. I saw more rabbit sign today then I have ever seen in one location. The snow covered thickets seem to provide an underground world. Four of us and two dogs stepped and kicked for three hours. The dogs did not bark one time all morning.
