Heading to camp this weekend. Forecast says 55 for highs. That seems a little boarder line for hanging a deer.
I have a good shaded spot to hang them. The temps wont stop me from shooting a buck but I don't like to shoot a doe if its to warm to hang. I can pack with ice for the ride home.
What do you guys think is a safe temperature to hang a deer?

Last week we shot two Saturday night. We had them hung by 10pm packed with ice.

We awoke at daylight, quartered them up, and placed them on ice in a cooler for the 2.5 hour ride home.

Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evening I spent processing.

All done now.
