Colton's Buck

Well things ended pretty well. Colton was hunting with the wife and about 6 o'clock this buck walked out under 1 of the apple trees. At the shot he wasn't sure if he hit it, but when they check the arrow it turned out that he did. We waited a few hours last night and then followed the trail. Not much blood, and it was dark red liver blood. After about 150 yards we ran out of blood. Went back this morning and started walking around. Found the buck but he had his head up. We backed out and came back in the afternoon and he had expired. The shot wasn't too bad other than it exited low and was back in the liver. It must have deflected as deer was on the same level as them. Looking at the shot I would never have guess that it would have lived that long. It is a 9 point. It has a split brown and split G2.
