I just don't see the reason in protecting them. They are the way they are because of a defect in their makeup. All you are doing by unnaturally helping them survive is hurting the herd in that area of Wisconsin. Luckily Albinism is a recessive trait.

They are stunning to look at. We had two on our property when I was a kid. I always seemed to be the only one to run into them. No one believed me until the dumb thing fell in a hole we were digging to reach an old well head.

Cool stuff. It would be neat to see something like that while on stand.

Glad to learn that they're not ostracized from the herd, otherwise the ACLU might have to get involved in the management & protection as well. :smiley_bril:
