Since everyone else is showing off plots I will throw out some pics too. All 3 plots are just over an acre each.

Chicory Plus in foreground....Tall tine tubers starting to pop up in background. The Chicory plus gets hammered but by season it is only clover, the chicory is gone.

Clover/grass/weeds...this is by the road and that's the reason I have not done much with it. I'm thinking about trying corn or forage beans here.

Basically I'm a stump farmer and run food plots in between. I used to keep the weeds down around the stumps but I didn't get some knocked down last year. I noticed the deer spending as much time eating the weeds as the plot so I'm experimenting this fall. I also have mineral blocks, salt blocks and Trophy Rocks on a lot of the stumps.

The good news is the Frigid Forage Big and Beasty Plot came up great. The bad news is the deer are mowing it down. We have had some timely rain showers but if the intense heat doesn't let up I'm not sure it will matter.

My food plots are usually knee high right now but the deer have hit them hard early and they are shorter than my yard. I overseeded some oats so maybe that will help. Acorns are falling and that might relieve some of the pressure.

I created a licking branch in a spot I wanted a scrape.

How did this ever work out? The licking branch has had my attention for years...still haven’t done it.

I haven't had much luck with JVS. One buck fugg with it but nothing after that.
I will try it again 2nd time this year at a different property since more bucks have been cruising through. I've thought about doing this on the property and set up a cam by and see what activity will it show https://www.instagram.com/hodaglickingstick/ since I'm a welder and a fabricator I can make something like it.

Care to share more on how you picked a location and what kind of branch you used?
Do you have a stand there, camera? How do you utilize it?

I have used it in many locations. I usually try to find a deer path crossing a 4 wheeler path. Pine, oak and beech limbs have worked for me. I usually at least put a cam there...a stand if I can.
