Today I got the call that my great aunt had passed. When one dies, I never worry about them, especially if they were a good person as I know God is going to take care of them. However, the hard part of laying someone to rest, is dealing with the rest of us who weren't ready to let them go. I see the hurt in my fathers eyes, and hear the shaking of my grandmothers voice; as we all see our own ending is all but too soon.
My great aunt was a special lady, put up with a lot in life that she shouldn't have been put through but times were different back then. She was 89 years old, and she was a loving aunt, grandma, great grandma, and mother. She was a gentle soul who would help anyone out! She loved her family most of all!
I ask that you all keep my family (especially grandma) in your thoughts/prayers.
I also ask that you call someone (family, friend, cousin) who you haven't spoken to in awhile, chat with them, drink too many beers with them, laugh too hard, and enjoy life with them.
Life is really really short people, let the people around you know how much you love them.
thank you for reading.
