Acorn Crop?

I'm from way up here in Vermont and have been making the long drive down to Ohio to hunt public land the past couple of years. The first year I went down (2014) there was a large amount of acorns but last year (2015) the state forest I hunted was bare. Fortunately I now have spots for both scenarios, but I am just curious as to what the nuts look like this year. Anyone have any insight? Please and thanks.

I hope everyone is having a great off-season and making all the necessary preparations for a successful season.

I haven't checked since early July, but a few white oaks on our farm were showing promise. Acorns are crucial for me to have good hunting in the area of our farm I want to focus on this year, so I'm hoping for a good one!

bowhunter1023, glad to hear the oaks are showing promise. Even having some acorns as opposed to being loaded with acorns can also be beneficial. You just gotta find that lucky tree that produces. Good luck this year!
