But in all seriousness, I'm looking for a smaller sling style tactical pack for quick "grab and go" situations when out and about. I have a main SHTF duffle in the truck, but I'd like something smaller for situations when I'm out with the family or in bigger cities. Something to fit a kmife, lighter, keys, extra mags, wipes, flashlight and a few other daily carry gadgets I'd like to have close, but don't want to carry on my person. I looked on Amazon and ordered one, but it's a Chinese made piece of shit. I'd like to have something American made and big enough for a couple diapers (may be a pending bun in oven) and some other kids stuff. Somewhere between fanny pack and full blown backpack.

Anyone else carrying something or stashing something similar in the truck for a "just in case" situation? I saw 2 ex or current military dudes in Cincy out with their families and they had these. I was thinking: "fugg yea, I need that"! If ya know me very well, you know I like stuff and this let's me have more stuff at the ready! lmao

Probably out of fashion now but at one time, I found this useful.

Leather and multiple pockets with a back one to hold (in this case) a Colt Comander with extra mags.
It could easily hold a couple of diapers too.

My day pack ( book bag size) holds everything I would need if I had to abandon the truck from a compass and fire starting to a small survival kit.

Throw it in the vehicle and most your needs are met. I don't wear it as much anymore but still throw it in the truck. It holds my Glock 22 and extra mags nicely. But it is NOT quick to get to.

X2, same one is use and used to sell a bunch of them. I tried the less expensive one Condor makes first to make sure I liked it. It's now my River tackle box and is also holding up well.
