Need scope suggestions. I have a Nikon pro staff 3by9 I am going to put in a 4570 or my muzzy

I need another scope suggestion for either gun.

I don't want to break the bank. Thanks all

find a new or used Leopold 2-7x33 vx1 muzzle loader bdc scope. They are very lightweight and have nice clear glass. Typically run between 190-250 new depending on where you buy and sales.

that is exactly what I was looking for, I got one on the way.

I already ordered the one above, I can return it. but looking for feedback on that scope.

I felt its a nice scope, good price, and will work well on a muzzy. What do you all think? I can return for free or cancel order in am.

Be realistic on a 45/70, its not a 500 yard varmint gun. Hit the gun shows and find a 1970's Bushnell Banner in a 1.5-4X for prices $25-$40. (made in USA, not korea or viet nam.

You do not need a 9X for 45/70 shooting 325 grain bullets.

Agreed on the lower power scope...

thanks guys! I was hoping a 2 by 7 would be good. I was worried a bit this was called the shotgun scope not the muzzy scope? Does that matter at all? I would imagine this should work fine.

one more question.

I have a rail on the gun. I do need rings for this scope as I am sure it doesn't come with it. Any suggestions on rings the would fit the scope above? Thank you all for the help.

Just get a solid set, Don't skimp on It... I usually stick with the 33 objective on shotgun/muzzy scopes, years ago the bigger objectives weren't made to handle a shotgun recoil..... Old habits are hard to break lol
