Chad, check out the Onx hunt maps app. You get a week trial for free and it shows you who owns the property. I've gotten a few spots by looking at the map and when I go knock on the door I already know their name. Either that or maybe get a plat book from your local soil and water office. The app is just more convenient IMO.

Also, something that might not pay off now but might in a year or two is knock on doors and ask to shed hunt. Once you get to know the landowner and get a feel for the place you might be able to secure hunting rights. That's worked for me twice, got one place to trap and another to turkey hunt.

Ever thought about trying to get permission to hunt the tree lines of agriculture field in or on the edge of suburbs, I have had success getting permission for those.

You looking for meat, bucks? How far are you willing to drive? Gun/bow?

I also like the idea of asking to shed hunt or mushroom. Get your foot in the door type of thing.

I'll text Dustin some more info for you guys. We should probably just plan on meeting up one of these weekends in the near future. Turn it into a mushroom hunt sort of thing.
