I Goofed... BIG BIG time...

Didn't know where to put this since it is not Ohio related... So since I goofed I decided put it in the Goof Off Lounge... Basically I'm new to TOO and reside in the wonderfull state of New Jersey. Yeh Yeh I know YUK. But I guess its not too bad as we do have some very wild area's that have anything from rattle snakes to BIG bears.. But lets get to the story...

Hunting season for me started out on a bad note as I lost both my English Setter's prior to the season. One 2 day's before our bear and deer firearm season. This took a lot of wind out of my sails, but I've been after a certain bear now for several years, so Monday morning found me sitting in a blow down watching a trail leading into a swampy area waiting for Yogi to head back to the swamp with his picnic basket full of acorn's. The day came and went without seeing as much as a deer. Tuesday am found me back in the same spot waiting for daylight to come. Again another day without seeing anything.. Wed. Thurs. and Fri. were all repeats without seeing a four legged creature. By Fri. night I was drained and disgusted about spending all this time (all day sits)and effort (long walk in and out) without seeing even a deer. So I decided to sleep in Sat. and go in the afternoon to close out the season. When I got there Sat. I pulled the card on the cam. And put it in my camera... OH NO!!!!!!! Guess who was there 7:15 Sat. am while I was home sleeping.... This video is 15 yds from where I sit... Not the bear I'm after as hes much bigger... But still a nice bear... I swear if he could give the camera the finger he would have... LOL

Funny.... But as we get older we just kinda laugh it off... Kind of a win win situation for both of us.... I got both video and still pics of him and he's still alive.. Plus like I said I was way back in and hunting alone... So it would have been an all night ordeal getting him out... LOL

Ric.. Like you always say.. Success counts a lot on being in the right spot at the right time. And I had several bears on cam that week (all at night) so I should have known to push it one more day. But hey.. He might of winded me and changed his course and never even been there had I been sitting there.. It's all a big game... As for the strippers.. You should have seen the bear earlier Fri. night working that pole. It was swaying back and forth rubbing its butt. I'll have to down load that one later... LOL
