Public land?

I was wondering how many TOO members hunt public land? I hunt State land almost exclusively here in Pa, because getting permission to hunt private land where I live is like pulling teeth. If you ask a property owner who owns enough woods to hunt, they either don't allow/want it, or they already have somebody hunting it. I find that bowhunting during the week leaves me pretty much alone in my woods though. How about others, is your public land a mob scene?

PS: I thought this might be a good cabin fever thread.

I've hunted public land in the past, always early archery or late season as you'd have the place too yourself.... Most public gets pounded during any of the gun seasons....
If you do your homework you can play the crowds too your advantage... Let them move the deer too you....

I hunt public land and it's not too bad until the beginning of November. From the first week of November through gun season it's really busy, but after gun it calms down again
