Many of the professionals grab roadkill cats and chunk them up for coyote bait.

Muskrat scraps. Deer scraps. Never had much luck with coon scraps. Grind it all up and add a little skunk essence. Good for fox too.

Whatever meat you use, make sure it is slightly tainted. They don't like fresh meat very well.

Literally, any animal freshly died and before it becomes mostly decomposed, especially during the winter time. Doesn't matter what living thing it was, at least that's been my experience. I live among them and I've left everything under the sun pretty much for them to devour, weather it's domestic or wild. We have all kinds of critters where I live.
