My dad and I were just talking about hunting the Susquehanna when I come home... He scoped out a spot he used to go to and said he saw tons of ducks but the waters were ridiculous and there wasn't a ramp close enough. Me, being a novice duck hunter was like well lets do it... Then he sent me a text this morning saying google Craig Strickland, this is why we shouldn't do it.

Never heard of the guy before this and man that really sucks. Reminded me of your incident Joe, fortunately it didn't end like this.

Yep, Joe knows from first hand experience... Duck hunting during the late season when it's cold can be extremely dangerous. So many people take it all for granted. A boat or pair of chest waders doesn't make anyone invincible. The Craig Strickland story is very sad...

The more we hunt and fish without issues, the more we become complacent.... It's just human nature.... Takes a hiccup once in a while too smack our asses back too reality.... The key is making it thru that bitch slap....
