Where is he???
Haven't picked him up yet... ive been busy and he's been busy. I was supposed to go up last friday, but his son qualified for some huge wrestling tournament.... so I didn't go up....

Also when I go up he's gonna help me flesh and pickle my buddies little boys cape so I can mount it for him.... so I need to be able to spend some time up there....

A cape is an additional $ 200? Ouch.
I'm getting a large chest freezer this week. I'll have to begin saving a couple capes for you fellas that are in need.
For a good early season cape it is. To get a cape from a deer that was killed after like nov 1 would be like 40 bucks.... early season capes are expensive as hell....

I didn't know they were that much more expensive. I guess it makes sense as not many big bucks are killed early season versus late October and November.

Not only are they more rare to find but they are in higher demand from taxidermists in general. It's what is used most for competition mounts since it shows definition and looks a lot cleaner.

I think something like this would look great if a man had the room.

I think if I was ever in those shoes, I'd have to think long and hard about getting something like this done. I'm pretty sure id have to find a way to come up with the money and make room.

I paid a little over $200 for the cape I needed for my buck a few years back. My taxi did a little looking around to find one with a larger neck, comparable to the pictures I had of him. It's good you were able to get a free one Zach! Can't wait to see it!
