Well guys, I finally did it. I finally listed my 1978 Ford F150 on craigslist. I hate to do it but all it does is sit and I don't have the money to put into it since I got to pay for school. It was the first truck I ever bought with my own money, 1300 bucks, and I love the thing. My dad grew up knowing the truck and the original owner because he used it to drive around his boat in the same place my grandpa had his boat, North East Yacht Club. It has 62,000 original miles and the original 302 C4 combo. Have to bump steer it after turns and when hitting bumps. Shoot it's like riding a horse cause she always wobbles back and forth with every bump. Just thought I would share my experience I am going through and wondered if any of you have gone through the same thing and had any good stories. Also she's for sale for 1200 OBO of anyone's interested haha. uploadfromtaptalk1447362995565.jpg

You need to park that beast and keep it for posterity.
There'll never be another like it.
You'll wish you hadn't sold it. :smiley_devil:

I miss my built 92' Cherokee every week (every day would be obsessive lol). If you can figure out a way (2nd job, OT), itll be worth it if it means enough to ya. Youll end up taking $1k for it, while not cheap, definitely doable with a plan.

Is it 4x4?

No it's 2wd. And I wish I could pick up over time or a second job but school has me so tied up and I need to keep my deens list record of a 3.6 acumulative gpa to get into the agriculture program at OSU.

Floor boards area in great condition and cab mounts are in decent condition. Cab corners are staring to go though

Tempting. If it was a short bed I would entertain it. Probably best I don't spend the money. Been there before bud. Nothing fun about decisions like this one. Good luck.

And someday, you'll be in a position to work on it a bit. It's paid for. You'll miss it. Doesn't cost you anything to keep it.

I'm sure we've all had rigs we wished we hadn't sold. That's why people are saying to not do it. I've had a few I wish I still had... I think it's part of growing though. I say sell it and join the crowd! Lol

Some new front shocks may do wonders for your steering. I thought my 78 150 needed lots of front end work. Two new front shocks and a steering stabilizer shock made it drive like new. Mine was 4WD though.

Ford and replacing king pins went hand in hand in the 70's and 80's. I changed a lot of them
