Bring your dog in the woods?

Do any of you guys bring your dog in the woods during hunting season? I dont mean when you're hunting but when you check cameras or move a stand. My black lab loves to go with me. Prior to the start of the season I bring him with me and he loves it. I've never brought him in the woods once the season starts because I'm afraid the scent he leaves could spook deer. I'm not sure if that's true anymore. What do you guys think?

My dog means more to me than any deer. So if I want to take him, I take him. I'd take him hunting with me if he'd stay still when the deer came in. The guy just loves being outside with me, I wouldn't take that away from either of us.

I used to take my lab with me to check cams because he went with me all the time. He doesn't chase deer and never left my side, so I didn't worry about it.

As long as it doesn't take off chasing deer you'll be good too go.... Lots of times the deer will focus more on the dog then you..... Seen it many times running the beagles....

I think he'd shit himself if a deer even looked at him. Hes not the toughest critter in the woods. Thanks for the input guys. First day home from my trip and I've got to check 8 cameras on 3 properties. He was home alone a lot during my trip so I hate to leave him behind. We'll be hitting the woods shortly.
