Hey guys new to the forum... Was wondering how salt fork park was for shotgun season.. Thanks for your input!!

It's a rugged area. You're in the foothills of Appalachia. Big bottoms, lots of hardwoods, so yes it has the makings to hold big bucks. I'm not gunna promise you you'll see even a deer. However you could kill a giant. It's a large tract of land in SE Ohio there is going to be deer on it just a matter of finding them.

just make sure you don't shoot some of the brain dead hunters down there that remove their orange, as soon as they get out of sight. yea you get to see some real idiots at Salt Fork.

Hunting eastern ohio state land is about hunting the hunters. I personally prefer gun season state land, but I have never had idiot issues. Like others have said you could kill a monster or not see a deer in a week.
