How's the acorn crop doing in Ohio this year? Anyone seen much? It's looking pretty slim here in North East Tennessee from what I've checked.

I'm coming up to hunt Jackson county public and private land in November. Just curious if the acorns will trump the corn and beans.

Acorns dropping in Highland county already... No idea what's going on in Jackson county. I know the fruit trees are looking killer over that way.

My problem is I've got private land with corn and beans and I've got public land with acorns. Just curious which will be better come the first week of November.

Walked both properties in early August and glasses trees for acorns. Just didn't see much. Was just curious what other people were seeing.

Dropping in Carroll county already also... My apple trees are almost empty.. Seems early for everything to be dropping

I've been picking apples off the ground for 2 weeks now. I have a couple buddies with trees that are loaded, so loaded that the limbs are damn near hitting the ground.

I walked my timber today marking trees with the logger. Red oaks, hickory nuts and beech are the only ones I saw dropping.

I see the response from Highland County. Anybody from Adams or Scioto. Acorns are dropping here but it seems to be hit or miss. Has anyone noticed if white oak in particular has acorns this year? Chestnut oak or red oak?
