I'm from Florida and just moved to Ohio about 3 months ago. I'm debating on if I should bring my duck boat up from FL. It's a 16ft boat with a 31hp Mud Buddy Motor. Any advice would help. Thanks!

I'm not a duck guy but a man separated from his boat don't seem right lol...
I'd say it'd be worth it though....

I was told by a few guys that the mud motor of mine would be overkill for up here but I like the way yall think. I'm living in Canton. Should have my boat up here within the next month.

Very few places will you actually need the mud motor... But nonetheless, get your damn boat up here! Lol

Welcome to Ohio. If the mud boat runs on water then bring it. I went through my boat days 40-45 yrs ago. With a nice sports boat, racing hydroplanes. Getting advice from someone who doesn't have a mud boat is risky.

Even if you only hunt the river it'll be fine, it'll be even better if you get corn fields that butt up to the river bc when rivers flood and break the bank wall.... only mud motors are going through the stalks and debree to get where the ducks are easily.
