Okay, so I dropped my first bird off at the taxidermest on May 1st the day I shot him, and told him I wanted a flying mount but am now thinking about getting it as a full strut wall mount. I just can't decide on what to do, I love the flying mount but nothing looks nicer than a full strut Tom. Just kind of need some opinions on what you guys would chose. And of course if you have any please post pics to help with the decision

i got mine gobbling on the roost it looks good and keeps it off the ground where my dog would prolly destroy it.

That's how I'm getting the bird I killed this year done. I also have a standing tom.uploadfromtaptalk1437662914987.jpg

I like seeing a tom in full strut while hunting, but I don't think I'd like one mounted full strut. This years bird will probably be the last one I mount, don't think I'll ever shoot a bigger one LOL.

My first was gobbling on the roost.

This years will be partial strut and gobbling walking straight off he wall on the roost.

I never thought of the walking straight off the wall position. I might consider that since I already have a bird facing sideways.

uploadfromtaptalk1437848474430.jpg I was thinking of something along these line for a wall strut mount. I don't know that flying looks awesome TOO uploadfromtaptalk1437848510636.jpg

My personal opinion is go for the poses where feathers are more laid back. Full Strut mounts seem to collect more dust and in my own experience are harder to maintain. I have generic walking pose similar to Big Slams above and to be honest it has been so much easier to take care of then my other Full Strut poses.
