Thanks for the info ......3 of my My food plots are done

Well I have not been on the site for a little while
As I am getting 3-4 Migraines a week and they are kicking my butt

But yesterday I put in 3 of the 4 my planned food plots for the deer are in

I was able to get 6 - 5 gallon buckets of wheat and 2/3 of a bag of short season beans from my brother for free

The farmer I am putting 3 of the food plots on his land sold me clover seed he had left over at about 1/2 price or less
As he dosn't like to use old seed

I used a freinds disk I could pull with my ATV to break up the ground

I put the seed on with my hands by throwing it around .....not the best way
But it works

I then use a 8' section of chain link fence , with a 4" log on it for weight
To smooth the areas and cover the seed

The wheat IMO should be a good green food till it snows , the beans and clover should grow well till the frost kills them

The last food plot I hope to put in
Is on Dad's farm
But where I want to put it
Is in the edge of the woods
With a corn feild on all 4 sides of the woods

I sprayed the area to kill the weeds last week
Most of the grass and weeds are dead and starting to turn brown
In a week or 2 , I will try and burn off the dead and plant

Not going to be as easy
But I will give it a try

John

Sounds good and sorry for your migraines. I don't know if you seen my post on using stinging nettles for pain control. It has worked wonders for my pain in my bad thumb and whole body MS muscle pain.
If you don't get bad results from touching stinging nettles you might try it. I don't get bad results from poison ivy so stinging nettles don't bother me at all. But after 3-4 weeks I do get a itch where I put the leaf on.

Glad you were able to get out and put some stuff in the ground! Now you just need Mr. Big to come strolling through one of those plots this fall.

Great to hear from you. Feel better. Maybe getting the food plots in will do your migraines some good? Doubt it, but hopefully!

As for the migraines
I have the OK from Ohio BWC to go to the Toledo Hospital's Headacke Clinic
As they are one of the leading places ( around here ) for Trama induced headackes

All I need is to get a Doctor to sign the paper work

But he is treating the headackes
This will cut out his $$ that he gets from the Botox he puts in my forehead ( he has $400 or so in costs and charges $2000+ )
But the Botox realy helps 1 of the several types of headackes

As for a big Buck
I will be happy with some doe's and any buck
As I am more into the meat
Not the rack .....I have 2 racks that I should mount
Just to cheap LOL
