If you felt a riff in the force, slight shudder in the earth, or heard distant thunder around 7:30pm yesterday it was because I bought a 2013 55-65 lb Hoyt Carbon Element G3 off a guy from craigslist.com.
The original plan was to buy the bare bow, but I haggled a bit and for a few more $$$ walked away with the QAD rest and Fuse sight which were already on it. The bow also has new strings and cables too.
Today I picked up a stabilizer, sling, and a dozen Carbon Express Mayhem Hunters. A few years back Geezer gave me a ton of archery stuff so I already had a quiver and release.
I still need to fletch my arrows, but I shot a few of the pro shops through the crono. The arrow they gave me was 450 grains and clocked at 271 fps. Mine should be around 400 grains and be faster. Any guesses how much?
I'm going to try those two bladed expendables that G5 makes. After seeing what a two bladed rage does (when they work) I figured I'd give them a try.
I'm looking forward to this years deer season.
