This time it is not in my house, but the grandkids scared a black snake which went under my car, then it proceeded to climb up the tire and disappeared.

I do need to go get gas for the lawn mower, dammit.

Anyway.......... now what? What happens if I go get gas? I don't want to wreck the car! LOL

This just happened to one of our contractors and it took them 45 minutes to get it out. Take it through the car wash and see what happens...

It went up the front tire on the driver's side. I'm not really wanting to actually open the door and since the kids thought it was "cool" I don't want them panicking about snakes, after they hear me scream like a baby.

Just drive away as it can't get into the car. Either it will fall off or get cut up but the engine belts. Anyway that's what I would do.

I decided to put off the mowing for a few hours just in case it crawls out. Then I'll go get the gas and hope for the best!

Since I can't figure out how to assemble the *&^%$#@ self-propelled mower, I don't need gas now. :smiley_blackeye:

That's what I'm afraid of, Kevin. And if he does poke his head out, I'm pulling in your driveway, wet cement or not!

Sometimes you just got to pick your poison.

I have a nice riding mower but am scared to death of it. Truly afraid of it. I got it out, cut one lopsided rectangle in the yard, put it up and went and got gas for the push mower.

I'd rather deal with a black snake. Which I didn't see as I watched behind me the whole way there and back. No clue if it had already left the vehicle or not.

How does a riding mower scare you?

Do you like rats more than snakes?

All trade offs as you said. Cut your grass more and these problems will all go away…you will slowly get over your mower fright, then the rats/mice will leave, and the snakes will have nothing to eat.

Try not to roll the mower over and get eating alive by the snakes...:beavis:

You answered your own question here..........

Try not to roll the mower over

I live on 5 wooded acres in the country, Giles. The snakes have plenty to eat. I normally push mow it but this year I wanted to try and use the rider since my age is catching up with me. I don't think that's going to work out as well as I planned! LOL

Diane….I can promise you that you are not the only one that lives in the woods out in the country. Strong possibility that I was giving you tips on how I got rid of them.

How often do you hear about people rolling over a mower? If you can push mow it, you'll be alright. Try not to run into anything… If you do somehow manage to smash things up, please post lots of pics and a story. I enjoy laughing. :smiley_clap:

Just go start the car and go back inside for 10-15 minutes. He'll leave.

I took it to the gas station already, but I can run it for a bit.

On a side note, OMG, why didn't someone tell me about self-propelled high back wheeled mowers, years ago!

I am in heaven! Fugg that rider!

If you drove to the gas station your snake problem is over. If you have a terrible smell in couple days in this hot weather the snake is dead and just find it and remove it..

Yea. Many years ago my parents had a smell and it was a dead snake.

I told the kids to stay away from the car and I didn't drive it for over 2 hours, hoping it left before I drove it.
