I had to repair my summer pasture today so I can move the cattle. I was moving some of my black long tube fence insulators when one tubes moved and stuck at me. A damn 3' black snake. I was able to throw him out of the pole barn and 2 throws later he's out in the pasture. I'm sure he'll be back.
I don't like sneaky snakes.

Up late with MS leg muscle spasms. Getting better and hope I can lay down and get some sleep.

I hate those kind of surprises! A few years back, I grabbed what I thought was a stick in the dog food bag. It was a mouse tail.

Hope you feel better!

yup. That will get the circulation going.
(but black snakes are good to have around)

Ditto! I'd like a few around my landscaping to thin out these damn chipmunks that are digging up my newly planted plants and burrowing holes everywhere. Fuggers!

I prefer the Rat Terrier for taking care of those critters. I don't care what kind of snake it is, if it strikes at me, it becomes a dead one. I also 3 kids running around my place all the time though. At the same time, startled cattle can make a hell of a mess also.
