Ok so I went to shoot my turkey gun in a couple weeks ago. Gun shoots, then cycled shell. It will not shoot anymore, I hear the firing pin click, it moves, etc. Will not fire a shell. Any Ideas?

Tried multiple shells I assume? It look like it is loading properly? All the way forward? Is it making any contact with the primer? Cleaned it?

cleaned it, going all the way forward, and the spring seems to be hitting hard. I can see the pin moving forward but its not even putting a mark in the shell.

To be honest I am about to throw the gun in the GD creek. IT has been a pain in the ass since I bought it.

Firing pin might be broke. I've seen this on AR platforms before but NEVER a Remington.

Will the pin move when tilted in any direction?

Wondering if the chamber is dirty and preventing the shell from seating properly and not allowing the bolt from closing all the way and not allowing the pin too strike the primer properly????

I've had a rem 1100 since 1980 and it's never failed me. I did hear the 1187 had problems. I'll ask Doc but I believe it was firing pins breaking.

I also had an 1187 and it functioned perfectly. Take it to a good gun smith and have it check it out. At least before these sharks feed on you ! :pickle:rotflmao
