Ok so I went to shoot my turkey gun in a couple weeks ago. Gun shoots, then cycled shell. It will not shoot anymore, I hear the firing pin click, it moves, etc. Will not fire a shell. Any Ideas?
cleaned it, going all the way forward, and the spring seems to be hitting hard. I can see the pin moving forward but its not even putting a mark in the shell.
To be honest I am about to throw the gun in the GD creek. IT has been a pain in the ass since I bought it.
Wondering if the chamber is dirty and preventing the shell from seating properly and not allowing the bolt from closing all the way and not allowing the pin too strike the primer properly????
My buddy has two of them and he had this problem. He had to adjust the Feed Latch. See diagrams at the bottom left for 1187 part#43. http://www.gun-parts.com/remingtonshotgun/
I also had an 1187 and it functioned perfectly. Take it to a good gun smith and have it check it out. At least before these sharks feed on you ! ickle:rotflmao
