Received my electric bill and for the 4th consecutive month it's been estimated as according too them it was too cold too actually have them read the meter......
Anyone else seeing the same? Their estimate for the 4 months have been low as well and looking at Aprils bill it might be a hammer coming down.... I know if I used it I pay for it, it's not that part of it. It's the actual estimating and then slamming the 4 month difference bill on people that irks me..... Am I off base with my thinking here?
Those cold temps didn't stop the mail delivery.....

I got hammered by Dayton Power and Electric last year with this stupid system! My house is on the steady payment plan and we got two months in row bills for $700+!!! I was beyond pissed off, and you can't do a thing about it. Be happy that yours is only for 4 months…mine was 7 months of them being to lazy to drive down my 1/4 mile driveway. I don't even have a choice in my area to change companies, effin monopoly… I don't mind paying for what I use, but if your being lazy and hitting me whenever you feel up to it, thats not right.

I think they don't even pay anyone to look at meters in the winter, then nail everyone in the summer. Win/win for them, saving money not paying for someone…under charge everyone…then BOHICA!

Sounds like the BS I got when they couldn't or wouldn't read the meter because they couldn't find the meter.
They were lost for words when I told them to follow the wire to the meter! Dah!

Can you not call in and report your own reading? We have a. Coop, and we are expected to report our reading monthly. If we dont, they will charge a fee to come out and read it for us. BS. Also, will your electric company allow you to pay extra? I will do that in the fall when bills are low to help compensate for the expensive winter months.

My January bill was an actual, Feb and March have been estimates. If anything I think they estimated slightly high.

According too the previous year's bill they're low... By about 40-50 dollars....

Greg I probably could as they show that on the back of the bill....

What ever they throw at us won't break the bank and I'm not too worried about that part of it.... It's the BS excuse of it being too cold too read it especially since I snow blow a path right too the freaking thing too aid in reading it....

Oh well welcome too the monopoly in Ohio.... Bad part is we had Ohio Edison and then they turned into First Energy but revert back too Ohio Edison for the power lines??? Yeah what a racket....

Talked too customer service the other day and according too my reading we're pretty close too being dead on so apparently with a few less people in the house it's been saving us some coin.... We'll see when the actual bill comes in too be sure though....

3 months. I did compare my meter to the bill. I figure I probably owe Edison another $150-200 so I ain't calling, I'll gladly use their money for free.

Same has happened to me J, three months in a row it was estimated and what I thought was way TOO high, then finally this last bill was like $48. I have Ohio Edison/first energy as well. They said they couldn't get out to read the meter cuz of the bad weather, and to that I say Not My Fuggin problem.
