I was wondering what the news is on the ice situation in NW Ohio. Is there shoreline areas accessible now to fishing or is there still a bit of a wait due to ice jams, ice cover, etc.? The waters in question for me are Maumee Bay, Swan Creek, and the Maumee River, but I suppose the Sandusky River, Sandusky Bay, and the Portage River can also come into play. Any information would be much appreciated.

This is the time the rivers change. With all the debris floating/carving/bashing and the mud...I wouldn't waste my time or gear until it clears up a bit.
Yeah it's that time of year giles. My patience that has been there all winter long has really gotten thinner and thinner as each day passes on.

I honestly would do anything to have some steady 50s or even 60 degree temps for a few days straight. Instead we get 50 then 40 and last I heard mid-30s for highs on Sunday.

Awesome. I did hear that Sidecut Metropark was now fully open. I'm thinking of heading down there this weekend to see what's happening.
