Decent used ones in what you're looking for Dale are hard too find... May have too set the search engine a couple hundred miles from your zip too find anything.... Toyotas aren't that popular up here and most people don't get rid of them anytime soon...

Used to love that style of yota. The problem that I remember is they where either really nice or where total rust buckets. And to find a nice one that is that old they actually could be considered a classic.

My brother had one and it was tough. The body was pretty rusty but it would not die. He was hard on the clutches and burnt up 2 of them. When it was time for the 3rd he junked it. Had 375,000 miles and was still running and we had a ton of fun driving that thing through the woods when we were younger.

I wouldn't mind having one myself but they are not easy to find with low miles and not rusted out.

We had an 83 and 86. Great trucks that rusted worse than anything else we have ever owned. Tough wheelers though.

Because they don't offer one that can handle the requirements I would ask of it. My next personal/company vehicle will probably be a crew cab Toyota. Be in a few years when the daughter is driving most likely. That is when she will inherit my Honda element.

I've got nothing against Toyota or Subaru, they just don't make anything that fits my needs. And if I have to worry about paying for fuel, then I need to rethink my spending lifestyle anyways.

Wife has a subaru legacy and loves it. I need a full size 4wd pickup for the work I do and don't care much for the newer Toyotas. The old 4cyl 4wd yotas are cool though if you can find one that's not all rusted out.

Ive had a 91 4 cyl 4x4 a 03 v6 4x4 trd and a currently have a 2010 v6 4x4 trd. I loved the 91 and sold it after 275k miles and no issues. The 03 i only owned for 2 weeks. i sold it due to the fact i almost got involved in 7 would be fatal car crashes none of which would have been my fault. That truck was like a 21 ways to die movie. It must have had a really Bad ju ju curse on it. The 2010 has 45k miles on it and has not had one issue. It is bullet proof. I have only managed to get it stuck once and it took a lot. I love the little toyotas.
