After putting 4 snares out the week after gun season. My son Jace and I hung one last night. They were set at my parents patch of woods over a bait pile that I put four wheeler tracks through the crp field leading to it and we finally caught one. Two weeks ago we had one twist out but this morning when we checked we had this big male. The boy finally got to shoot his first coyote. He was so excited he didn't want to even go rabbit hunting which was another reason we was checking the snares while we were there. I kidded him that we had to tie one up so he could hit it. He has missed a couple the last few years with the hounds so he was pumped to kill this one.
