Earlier this year I bought a 2014 F-150 FX4, it's the V8 5.0L. My BIL is telling me to just get a flowmaster muffler w/ dual exits and leave it at that. However, I'm reading that just getting a muffler the truck gets real loud in the cab on the highway. So now I'm looking at going to a cat back system w/ single or dual exhaust. Anyone have any suggestions at what to look at?

Here's the flowmaster options I have: $700 is a bit steep especially b/c I'm not 100% sure what Installation is going to cost me either.

I got $700 tied up in my quads exhaust, I don't think that's bad for a vehicle. You get what you pay for with stuff like that.

Any exhaust you do is going to increase cabin noise. Catbacks replace the pipes, muffler, resonator, and tips. Just cut the stock muffler out and weld in some flowdoggies. The upside is the cat back will give you 5-15 hp.

So you're saying just go with the flow master muffler and split pipes in the back? I'm looking to get a better sound out of it than just the stock pipes.

Unless I want the additional HP? I'm not really towing anything heavy, a small boat or a trailer from time to time but that's it.

Not looking to charge you. Just helping out. I have a lift in my barn. Most catback systems go together simple enough. We can do it pretty easy. Come hangout we can throw something on the grill and get it put together.

awesome thanks! I'll be sending you a PM, I'm looking at doing it after the rut, wanna spend most of my time in the tree.
