My buddys dad owns a large trac out near coolvilee, they have been finding piles of bear scat all year this year. First time in 30yrs he has seen that!

One got hit in Nelsonville a few years ago. Black Bears and bobcats are fine in my book. A black bear would have to be pretty strarved to bother chasing healthy deer. There are just too many easy meals in the woods year round and the bears are the only ones that access a lot of it.
Bobcats in the long term might bring the yote population in check. Due to the competition of similar food sources. Mice chipmunks rabbits ect.
Mountain lions and wolves can go to hell. There is no place for them in the populated Midwest.

We'd see em all the time back at home. Used to have to wait to take our garbage out till the AM cuz they'd rip thru it before the truck got there.

I sure do miss seeing bears tho, some pretty cool animals.
