Thawed Meat

I had another freezer mishap and the remaining ground venison I had thawed out. It was barely thawed and the freezer temp was still 43-44 degrees. I plugged it back in and everything is frozen again.

Question is, do you think it would be safe to make jerky out of that stuff? My gut says yes, but I don't want it telling me no when its TOO late! lmao

I would myself. The temp didn't get low enough to cause damage. IMHO

It'll be just fine. It will freezer burn faster now though so get to eating. Never in any danger of potential food borne illness.
