A buddy from Louisiana swears this works.
Go to Home Depot or Walmart and buy a can of black spray paint, any kind, but it has to be black - no other color works as well. The cheaper the better, so also try Dollar Store, Big Lots, etc. Go home and stir up the ant mounds and the area around them with a stick.
Spray 1/3 to 1/2 of the can on each mound and surrounding turf, covering the area fairly well.
Once the Ants realize they live in a black neighborhood, they quit working and start killing each other.
