Yep I've met couple gun salesman like that. Reminds me of KMart way back when a guy asked for a can of blackpowder for a ML. The sales guy handed him a can of smokless powder. I stepped in and stopped the sale.
He got pissed and said all powder is black in color so it makes no difference when type. Got the dept. Manager but he didn't get the idea either. At least I saved on guy's life.
