Manacan in a tree stand

I was told that you can put a Manacan dressed like a hunter before deer season and they would get used to it and make it easier for the hunter when deer season comes in.. Is this true?

rotflmaoI can see myself in some porn shop somewhere trying to explain to the person working there that I need an extra heavy duty blow up doll, preferably with some kind of tie down loops on it because it's going in a tree stand for a few weeks. Honest. rotflmao

I've seen plywood cutouts nailed to trees dressed like hunters before. I supposed it could work, just seems like an odd thing to do IMO.

JMHO if you select trees with good cover and the right height then you shouldn't have to think about something like that. I'd say the only reason you would think about using one is if the stand makes you stick out like a sore thumb. Not to mention what do you do with the dummy when you go in to hunt?

Someone used to sell a blow up dude for this very reason. No idea if they are still in business.

LOL.
Last year I used a 2 man tree stand blind kit I got from Phil and the deer would walk past me and never knew I was there. Plus it has a rain roof on it to stay dry. Highly recommended.

Send the wife out to sit there until you need to hunt it. Then she gets a break from holding your spot for you when you need it.

i have had this idea but as Big_Holla said if you move your stand to a good tree with good cover you should have no worries about it, or have at least a little cover and a good camo pattern

About the only I do that compares is the day before Gun season we will tie some type of hunters orange to the trees where our stands are and we will park a vehicle there the next morning to discourage the local road hunters from trespassing

Well if you end up going the same route as Treed mentioned, I mean I don't think I need to go into detail what you could do....
