Brewing Beer

Well Not beer but a American Dark Lager
I am not into the normal or Light Beer

But I have found I like the taste of Leinenkugel's Creamy Dark

So I go to thinking about brewing up a batch

My questions ....how close do the kits get you to a American Dark Lager ?
Is it worth it , as I normaly only drink a 6 pack a week ?
Err if the price is right , more of the Dark Lager will probely be needed than just a 6 pack a week

I've never brewed beer but I've heard for small batches it is way cheaper to just buy it at the store. I think it's more about being able to customize your own brew, a hobby, etc more than just saving money. I have tried some home brews that were way better than anything at the store.

There are a few home brewers here. There are some good recipes that can get really really close. It won't take long to break even. There is a thread in the cooking section
