I made my way down to the local wetland and took some cool pictures. Thought I would share them.

I was shocked Sunday when I drove around our local state lake which rarely holds normal birds (geese, mallards, woodies) let alone divers and other varieties. I saw a dozen ringnecks, 5 common mergansers, and 5 coots. I've never seen divers on that lake before. Then last night I drove by a small farm pond about a mile from our farm and saw 6 ringnecks on that pond. I love seeing variety like that! Such a rare treat around here.

There have been thousands of geese landing in the corn stubble fields around my place the last few days....I assume they are migrating back north and just stopping to rest?
