Racoon mating season ?

I wonder if it is Racoon mating season ?
As Monday I took a drive to a friends place

I saw 2 racoons crossing fields on the way to his house , it was 1:30 in the afternoon and the 2 racoons were 5 miles apart
And Yesterday when I got home from the Doctors around 5 , I could see I had something in a snare behind dad's house

A BIG male coon , it got into the snare after 10 AM
As I had goon for a ride on the ATV , I went 50 yds from the snare and it was empty at 10 AM

Just wondering

They should be pretty much done mating by now. Maybe a few "late bloomers" yet. I don't know if coons have a "second rut" like deer do or not.

I imagine raccoon sex being rather loud. Raccoon rape is probably louder. lmao

They should finish up breeding this month. Between that and hungary they will move a lot with these warmer temps.
