This buck is my most photogenic non year old but he disappeared for 3 weeks after October 27th. When he came back he had a "tumor" on his side. After 2 months the tumor is gone. In a couple pics it looks like there is a scar above the tumor. Maybe an injury that left a puss pocket? He looks healthy and has good potential. Any ideas????

A funny thing about this buck is when he comes to the feeder he takes corn off the spinner. Apparently he doesn't like dirt on his meal. The January 23rd pics are the first time he came to the feeder in the daylight.

Really cool sequence of pics.

For sure just some sort of puss infection. Maybe took an antler tine to the side during a scuffle. Who knows. Just be thankful you didn't shoot him and have to deal with that puss sac. That would've stunk to high heaven!

IMO, looks like a arrow/gun wound above a puss sac that eventually ruptured. Hopefully due to the injury and him eating off your feeder rotary he'll knock his sheds off right below your feeder very soon. I can also see this injury effecting his antler growth this year as well. Hope its a good effect for you though.
