I went on my first duck hunt in November with Fair Chase Outfitters in Michigan for three days. It was a learning experience as I watched the guides place the decoys strategically in place. They started to call and some mallards came in and they shouted shoot em! I shot my first duck, felt pretty proud that I hit it. It was on, I wanted to stay there all day. We went back in around four with very few ducks. Apparently it was a slow day. Second day the water was to rough so we went to the Fish Point Wildlife Area. Slow there also but I did see a lot from a distance. The third day we stayed out only until ten a.m. because the bay was really choppy. All in all I found a new love of the hunt. I brought home nine ducks in all and the memories of a great time. Pats got a nice little operation for the economy hunter. Me and Sarge had a blast up there. Think we killed 36 in 2.5 days and 18 on a morning hunt in Dec.

Wow.. I wish I would have seen that many to shoot at. It was just slow. He has it going on no doubt. I stayed at the Airport motel not real bad for 45.00 a night had a kitchen to. I like to watch the dogs retrieve wish I could teach my lab to retrieve but she gets to excited.
